We like to think that our ice cream is wholesome fun for everyone, made simply and with a love for the craft—a little scoop of happiness from our family to yours—and we are grateful to the community for embracing us from our very first scoop.

The Ice Cream
“How do we do it?” you ask. Simple.
We source the freshest, finest ingredients available—from Maryland produced milk and cream, to the highest quality imported flavorings—and take pride in combining them by hand, one gallon at a time, on site.
Victor, our founder, grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland and lived above an Italian ice cream parlor, Mr. Boni’s, that dated back to 1907. He began working there at age 15 and later became the production and facility manager—the only person outside of the family bloodline to learn the secret family ice cream recipes.
Since those humble beginnings, Victor and Susan’s team has grown, but the recipe has stayed the same. Locals have voted our ice cream the “Best Ice Cream on the Eastern Shore” for 10 years in a row! Our reviews and ratings on Google, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Yelp are beyond reproach, and, more importantly, the smiles at our window leave us feeling like Santa Claus every day. That’s how we know we’re doing something right!

One big, happy family!
From the friends we serve, to the “Super Scoopers” we employ, when you’re at the Scottish Highland Creamery, you’re family. We love the fact that our staff stays with us for years—and we’ve watched several of them grow from taste-testing toddlers to teen-aged scoopers—and then head off to college in pursuit of their own dreams. We’ve had customers come here on their first date, then return years later to propose (with rings in the bottoms of cones, no less!). Our catering services came about because our patrons demanded it. They wanted us to be there on the biggest days of their lives, serving up the taste of pure happiness.
We are honored and humbled by our customers and community every day. To us, it’s just ice cream, but we understand that to many of you, we are summer—and we don’t take that for granted!
